The SIMRSC provides an on-site user support Helpdesk as well as the facilities for code modification, system testing, documentation and configuration control at the RSC premises. <p> In order to communicate between these sites an Internet based reporting system is used, consisting of four closed user groups providing communication and reporting on a multi-site basis. <H1>SIMRSC WWW Services</H1> An important aspect of SIMRSC is to enable clients and operators to invoke services via WWW browsers in a platform independent manner. <p> Services are grouped into four areas: the <a TARGET="_top" HREF="user/index.htm">user area</a>, allowing day-to-day technical services to be invoked, the <a TARGET="_top" HREF="management/topic_map/index.html">management area</a>, which allows extended services and access to privileged information, the <a TARGET="_top" HREF="developer/index.htm">developer area</a> which allows system developers to submit development information, and the <a TARGET="_top" HREF="maint2003/index.htm">maintenance area</a> which allows system maintainers to submit maintenance information. <p> The areas are protected by password.
